anaal nathrakh - MEEEETAL. horty pie loved a song of theirs if that says anything. pretty intense and ridiclous. which is the best part of black meeetal.
cigarettes - i love to smoke. i wish i could do it all the time.
francisco lopez - this should be "francisco lopez when he's actually audible". he's capable of amazing sound manipulations that, to me, bring out what nature should actually sound like given what it looks like.
immortal - honestly, i haven't listened to immortal in at least a year. i just i dunno, when i reach for a black metal record i'll grab one of anaal nathrakh's or
John Wiese - my second favorite noise musican (first is kevin drumm). i know it's kinda stupid to say this, but it's like the ultimate revenge of the nerd. jah.
Matthew Barney - Cremaster 2 is one of my favorite movies. i can't say i much care for most of his empty and lazy art.
Sissy Spacek - the band and the actress? yup, i figured sissy spacek is both the perfect woman and band. i'm lying on both counts.
thomas pynchon - along with the sound and fury, the wasp factory and a crack up at the race riots this was the book that set me off on "serious reading". it made my head hurt, at times i could barely understand what happened, but then other parts made me laugh, some made me cry (the opera! i don't think i had ever read anything that beautiful in my life) and just wow. that's all.
william faulker - first book to fill me with total horror at the ending of it. scared the SHIT outta me.
